Hot Honey Chicken and Waffles

Generously season the chicken thighs, then add pickle juice and cover with buttermilk. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight.

Prepare the waffle batter by mixing all dry ingredients together in one bowl and all wet ingredients in another. Then, combine wet and dry ingredients together.

Add cheddar cheese and chives to the batter and mix well. This batter can be kept in the fridge for 2 or 3 days.

After marinating, fry the chicken until it reaches an internal temperature of 165°F and is crispy and golden brown.

Mix the ingredients for the hot honey sauce over medium heat, bringing to a simmer and reducing until thickened.

Paint the hot honey sauce onto the fried chicken.

Make the waffles and assemble the dish by topping with pickles, chives, and a drizzle of hot honey sauce.
