This Hot Honey Chicken Biscuit features crispy fried chicken thighs coated in a special seasoning, served on buttery biscuits and topped with a sweet and spicy hot honey sauce. A perfect blend of flavors that makes for a satisfying meal.
Add chicken to a bowl along with seasonings, pickle juice, and buttermilk. Cover and refrigerate for at least an hour, preferably overnight.
Shake off excess batter from the chicken and dredge in Crispy Coatings. Fry at 350°F for about 5 minutes or until golden brown.
For the biscuits, mix dry ingredients in a bowl. Cut chilled butter into the dry mixture until the butter is pea-sized.
Add buttermilk 1/2 cup at a time and mix with a fork until you have a crumbled dough. Knead the dough no more than 10 times.
Roll out dough to half an inch and cut out biscuits. Bake on parchment paper at 400°F for around 15 minutes or until golden brown.
For the Hot Honey, add honey, jalapeno slices, red pepper flakes, and vinegar to a pan over medium-low heat. Simmer until jalapeños have shrunk and look candied.
Brush or dunk fried chicken with hot honey and place on a buttered biscuit. Enjoy.
